Grain Death

“Springfield” is one of those songs that make you nostalgic for no particular reason. There has to be a specific recipe for this (which I don’t exactly know because this question is for music theory experts), but it must have something to do with a slow-head-bobbing guitar melody, a waltz-style time signature, a layering of exasperated and monotone vocals, and the sound of a moving train…  and if you don’t have any memories of that time you skipped school with your forbidden crush, just insert yourself into the video and the song will feel just right.

Grain Death is a four-pieced, UK-based band with (apparently) only one other released track, “Translation 2,” which is equally beautiful and worth a listen.
